MIGRATION REOPEN IN OCTOBER

Hello Rubimily! It has been quite a while since ANDY and the team published an official message on our shared platform.

Our message this time is: "The MIGRATION portal will officially reopen in October".

This is likely the news our mining community has been eagerly anticipating those who are anxious to realize their hard-earned mining rewards and transfer them to their on-chain wallets.

Rubi Network Migration will be reopened for everyone in October.

However, we will proceed with utmost caution in small, controlled steps to ensure that the malicious actors behind the mass theft incident in April 2025 get no opportunity to steal again.

This is not just a favorite announcement, it is a comprehensive guide providing all the necessary details for miners across the network to understand the context, the reasons why Rubi Network locked Migration, and our roadmap to safely reopen it.

2025: RUBI NETWORK SUFFERED A SEVERE PHISHING ATTACK

Looking back to around May 2025!

The entire Rubi Network was forced to halt the migration of the mined supply onto the blockchain. With zero exceptions, all miners including founding and pioneer miners were required to pause migrating their mined RBL on-chain.

This was the direct consequence of a large-scale phishing attack targeted at our network, where tens of thousands of accounts were detected with signs of unauthorized access. To date, we have been unable to determine the exact, exhaustive list of victims, so the tens-of-thousands figure remains an estimate.

It was deeply painful for us to witness thousands of miners having their accounts illegally breached, resulting in the loss of significant amounts of RBL. For those impacted, those funds represented years of patient mining and accumulation something nearly impossible to recover.

The core development team had to make the difficult choice to halt Migration as an extreme measure of the highest priority, but it was the most effective shield to stop phishing exploiters in their tracks.

But how exactly did the attackers operate?

2 MINUTES TO PROTECT YOUR ASSETS FROM PHISHING

PHISHING is recognized as one of the most devastating attack vectors acting as a "destroyer" of both emotional and financial well-being for everyday users.

When victims fall prey to a phishing attack, their assets are stripped almost instantly with virtually no chance of recovery.

That is why right now, you need to spend 2 minutes reading this carefully so you never become a victim of phishing.

Start with this question: "Are you using the same credentials everywhere?"

When asking people involved in online MMO initiatives, unfortunatly, most of their answers are "Yes".

This is the single most common yet critical vulnerability and precisely what phishing attackers exploit!

How scammers typically operate:

• Attackers set up fake projects and phishing Airdrop websites with lucrative promises to lure you into signing up.
• They exploit the habit of reusing registration details (Email, Username, or Password), leading you to inadvertently hand over your "keys".
• Gaining unauthorized entry, they immediately deploy automated tools (bots) to sweep those credentials across Telegram, Twitter, Gmail, and other real Crypto apps you use (including Rubi Network).

In reality, this dangerous habit is widespread among MMO community members, making the attackers' success rate on legitimate platforms alarmingly high. The May 2025 incident stands as a bitter wake-up call for the Rubi Network community.

Here are 3 "golden" rules to stay safe from Phishing:

• DO NOT reuse the same set of account credentials across multiple platforms.
• NEVER set a universal password for all your applications.
• ALWAYS ENABLE advanced security layers (2FA, OTP, Biometrics...) as soon as supported by the system.

If you suspect your Rubi account was previously accessed by unauthorized parties, immediately enable 2FA login security or use the Google Account login method linked to your registered Rubi mining account.

FACE VERIF MODULE - A NEW SECURITY LAYER

This is one of our major security enhancement efforts deployed by the Rubi Team recently! Expected by late October, we will roll out a new security module called FACE VERIF.

This module ensures that the individual initiating asset migration from the mining hub to the blockchain strictly matches the identity verified during account KYC.

It works by capturing your face in real-time and cross-referencing it with your verified KYC biometric data. This verification grants authorization for the account owner to execute RBL migrations on-chain.

We are confident that once FACE VERIF is active, accounts previously compromised by phishing will be thoroughly secured, as attackers cannot replicate the real-world identity of the verified account holder.

Beyond Migration, once performance stability is thoroughly validated, FACE VERIF will also be enforced for high-security account actions such as PIN Code Resets, accessing personal profile settings, or requesting the removal of an uncompromised/lost wallet address from your account.

MIGRATION REOPENING ROADMAP - STEP-BY-STEP SECURITY

As the Migration portal reopens, malicious actors may attempt to leverage previously compromised account lists to drain RBL. Therefore, reopening Migration will follow a cautious, phased approach to closely monitor and flag suspicious activity.

Here is the expected timeline!

Phase 1 ● From Sept 30 to Oct 14:

MIGRATION will reopen network-wide, but under strict limits regarding frequency and transaction caps. Specifically - capped at 02 Migration transactions / day per account, and each transaction capped at a maximum of 03 RBL.

Phase 2 ● From Oct 15 to Oct 29:

MIGRATION transaction limits will be increased up to 1% of the available mined RBL balance (maximum 10 RBL per transaction) in storage.

Phase 3 ● From Oct 30 onward (App update with FACE VERIF module):

• The rollout of FACE VERIF begins on October 30. During the first 05 weeks, registering your facial security key will be completely free of charge.
• After 5 weeks, the system may apply a nominal fee of 0.1 RBL or 50 MnA for each new security key signature request.
• The initial weeks of the FACE VERIF deployment will serve as an operational monitoring phase. During this period, Migration limit caps will remain active to ensure maximum ecosystem safety.
